Understanding New Haven is a center for knowledge about the Greater New Haven and Valley Region. We seek to illuminate civic priorities by engaging the community in building this resource. Our mission is to increase the accessibility of available information and community resources, and draw connections among complex issues such as health, early childhood education, smart growth and youth development in order to support community governance.
For example, within our Understanding Your Neighborhood pages, we are building a comprehensive resource about every city, town and neighborhood within the Region.
