2023 Town Equity Reports now available for all 169 CT towns (plus regions)

The DataHaven Town Equity Reports provide access to relevant town-level information that is not available from any other source. They use new methods to disaggregate data from the 2020 Census, American Community Survey microdata files, DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey record-level files from 2015 through 2021, and federal and state agency databases.

Since 2021, these easy-to-use, infographic-filled publications have been widely-used to inform local- and state-level efforts to improve community well-being and racial equity.

Updated reports for 2023 are now available for all 169 Connecticut towns, as well as for groupings of towns such as DMHAS Regions, Councils of Governments (COG) service areas, and custom-defined areas.

Join the DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey Advisory Council!

We are currently planning the next wave of our DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey (DCWS), a program that has conducted live interviews with about 45,000 randomly-selected adults in every Connecticut town about issues that are most important to local communities.

More than 300 amazing people, representing public, private, and community-based organizations throughout Connecticut, participate in the DCWS Advisory Council. Reply here or email us at info [at] ctdatahaven.org if you would like to join the Council, and help us determine what information to collect!

The DCWS is one of the data sources used in our Town Equity Reports, and survey information has been featured in grant applications helping to raise tens of millions of dollars for Connecticut communities. The survey is made possible thanks to support from more than 80 public and private partners in Connecticut.

(If you participated in our Advisory Council in 2021, we will attempt to contact you this year as well, but we'd love to hear from you anyhow!)
