Survey funders include over 100 state and local government, health care, academic, and community partners throughout Connecticut, and Advisory Council members represent 300 organizations.

The DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey traces its roots to a series of grassroots and locally-based efforts launched over the past decade to gather information on and promote regional well-being and quality of life. With guidance from DataHaven and partner organizations throughout Connecticut, these area surveys have grown substantially each year in size and quality, and have become increasingly coordinated. Please contact us for additional information.

Connecticut stands as a leader when it comes to the rights of the queer community, standing well ahead of many other states when it comes to the rights of LGBTQIA+ residents. With same-sex marriage legalized here seven years before its federal approval and enshrined rights for same-sex and queer parents, legal defenses and the transgender community, Connecticut can stand proud.

Bloomfield-based Cigna Health Group launched a health equity fund that plans to invest $9 million in communities nationally over the next three years, starting with Hartford.

In Hartford, more than a quarter of residents surveyed had asthma. Between 2017 and 2021, Hartford averaged 53 days per year of “poor” air quality or worse.

Thirty miles away, during that same period, the town of Stafford averaged “poor” air quality 28 days per year.
