The Partnership between the State of Connecticut and Nonprofit Providers

The focus of this report is the large group of Connecticut residents that utilize State support and services for issues ranging from mental illness to homelessness, substance abuse, poverty, or crime. This study looks at the service delivery system serving this population and the role that nonprofit organizations play in this effort. The findings shed light on a confusing, non-integrated system that, due to these factors, cannot be as effective or efficient as needed. The report also found that the current administration is making efforts to improve the system and new iniaitves are a step toward improving these services.
