    A consulting company was recruited to study the state's correction, parole, and probation systems. In addition to reviewing past studies, they carried out interviews with stakeholders. This research was used to develop findings and recommendations that could be used to improve the criminal justice system in Connecticut.This report is part 2 of a six-part series, "Framework for Connecticut's Fiscal Future."

    This report came out of the idea that long-term care is an important part of the health care system because it will affect nearly everyone at some point in their lives — whether it is because we need services and support ourselves, or we are providing care for someone in need.     This is the first of two reports examining out-of-school suspension policy and practice in Connecticut. It was issued in response to a 2007 law passed in Connecticut requiring that suspensions be served in school. The law was passed, but implementation was delayed until 2009.

    This study is a plan for bus service investments that will support the future economic development of Connecticut. It identifies the range of benefits of investing in bus transit and determines how investing in these improvements to today’s bus infrastructure will contribute to job access, emerging intra- and inter-state markets, smart growth, economic development, environmental quality, and congestion relief.
