    Rising Neighborhood Income Inequality in Connecticut

    From 1980 to 2013, the percentage of Connecticut residents living in neighborhoods of concentrated wealth or poverty grew by 30 percent, according to a new analysis from DataHaven.  On the map below, click "Visible Layers" to view data from each decade. Meanwhile, the percentage of residents living in middle-income neighborhoods shrunk 7 percent.

  • Urban Apartheid: 2013 Greater New Haven NAACP Report

    The NAACP Greater New Haven Branch of the NAACP created the 2013 Urban Apartheid report, involving DataHaven's Executive Director, Mark Abraham, to work closely with NAACP staff and board members on its development and to contribute the research material used throughout. DataHaven also received a separate contract from the Annie E. Casey Foundation to support its work on the development and graphic design of this 25-page report.
