    This index facilitates access to data crosstabs from the DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey. This large survey program completed over 32,000 live, in-depth interviews with randomly-selected adults in every Connecticut town in 2015 and 2018, so results are available for a large number of regions, towns, and neighborhoods. In the Greater New Haven region, the survey was also completed in 2012 (see here).  As described in the crosstab metho

  • Elm City Kicks Off 2020 Census Campaign

    [Excerpt from New Haven Independent, 1/30/19 article by Markeshia Ricks] "New Haven is getting an early start on ensuring the city counts every resident in the upcoming decennial census — which won’t be an easy feat. The quest began Tuesday afternoon and evening as about 50 people gathered in the Hall of Records to learn about the importance of getting people to participate in the 2020 census. They also learned about the many challenges to preventing an undercount and started brainstorming solutions to those barriers.

  • 2017 DataHaven Community Profile Dataset

    This is a CSV (raw data) file with the state, county, and town-level data used in our community profile pages, updated with 2017 5-year ACS data (released by Census Bureau in December 2018). For Connecticut counties and select Connecticut towns, the dataset also contains a small number of estimates from the 2015 DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey.

  • 2018 Five Connecticuts Data Crosstabs - DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey

    This crosstab of results from the 2018 DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey contains weighted estimates for Connecticut, as well as disaggregations for each of the Five Connecticuts. The Five Connecticuts are a system used to classify individual towns into one of five categories (Wealthy, Suburban, Rural, Urban Periphery, and Urban Core) based on the median household income, population density, and poverty rate of each town as of the most recent Census data.  In many cases, results for any individual town in Connecticut will be similar to other towns within its grouping.
