Nearly half of Connecticut's adult population was born within the state's borders, according to recently released Census data collected in 2022. That part of the picture has remained relatively steady for decades.

But over the past two decades, the state has seen a slow but steady increase in the number of residents born abroad. In 2022, the share of Connecticut adults who were born in the state was 47%, down about two percentage points from 2010, when the share was 49%.

Thursday night’s “Bending the Arc” panel discussion at the YWCA Greenwich focused on inequity and access in Greenwich.

YWCA Greenwich CEO Mary Lee Kiernan quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s words from a speech given at the National Cathedral on March 31, 1968 when he said, “We shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.”

NORWALK, CT — On Wednesday, the Norwalk Health Department launched its new Community Health and Wellbeing Profile, a publicly available online dashboard compiling and visualizing key Norwalk health data.
