The New Haven Public Health Department and the Health Equity Alliance are addressing community violence as a public health matter. This report, which includes recommendations based on data, was issued as part of Health Matters! — a city initative to use data to address local health issues.

This report, from the State of Connecticut Board of Regents, provides an overview of college degree and certificate completions, as well as an analysis of postsecondary school plans. Schools' data was released to them in order to improve the effectiveness of the educational system.
Private investment has triggered a "renaissance" in New Haven. While the influx of money has allowed for downtown development and investments in education, medicine, and research, there are still many neighborhoods that are not benefiting. This is especially true for areas that were previously reliant on the manufacturing industry. The Connecticut Center for a New Economy developed its Grassroots Community Agenda based on conversations with New Haven residents in order to address lingering community problems.
This reports looks at the racial and cultural factors in Connecticut's achievement gaps. It presents data on racial disparities in educational outcomes, discusses the intersectionality of race and education, and proposes potential solutions.

Parsons Brinckerhoff, an engineering consulting company, offered suggestions to the city of Meriden to improve business at the Meriden City Center. Since one of Meriden's strengths is its accessibility by public transportation, the suggestions center around transit-oriented development. Additionally, there is a focus on downtown housing developments, with relation to the HUB site.
